Nations Lending today announced the promotion of Eric Roman to President and Cindy Baird to Chief Operating Officer. The appointments recognize two established leaders whose experience and commitment to the company’s people will help guide its next chapter.

Roman previously served as Chief Operating Officer, while Baird served as Executive Vice President of National Operations. Together, their promotions reinforce Nations Lending’s focus on aligning company strategy with the day-to-day support that helps branches, loan officers and operations teams serve borrowers.

Roman was one of Nations Lending’s original nine employees when the company was founded in 2003. His background includes more than 25 years in the lending industry and service as a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps. As Chief Operating Officer, he oversaw daily operations and performance while helping execute the company’s strategic vision. As President, Roman will focus on advancing that vision, strengthening alignment across the organization and supporting sustainable growth.

Baird joined Nations Lending in 2022 as Executive Vice President of National Operations, bringing extensive experience in mortgage origination and a strong track record of leading national operations. As Chief Operating Officer, she will focus on strengthening operational execution, improving coordination across teams and helping deliver a consistent experience for borrowers and the professionals who serve them.
