NEW YORK, Sept. 17, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Nasdaq Private Market, a leading provider of liquidity and investment opportunities for private companies, their employees and investors, today introduced PAM™, a private market investing agent built directly into the Nasdaq Private Market iOS app. PAM gives investors a single, intuitive entry point into private markets – designed to explain clearly how private market transactions work, surface opportunities in seconds, deliver company comparisons, and enable investment actions all from your mobile device.
The private market reached more than $5 trillion in valuation at its height earlier this year, yet access has remained slow, manual, and reserved for those with the right relationships. While more than 40 million Americans qualify as accredited investors who are able to invest in private markets, only 4.3% of them do so, despite three times that many expressing interest1. PAM was designed to help close that gap – turning a process that once required specialized knowledge, exclusive access, paperwork, and patience into a conversation.
“For decades, the private markets have been a private club, with access determined by relationships and who you know – even basic information about these markets was available only to a select few,” said Tom Callahan, CEO of Nasdaq Private Market. “PAM changes that. You don’t need to ‘know a guy’ anymore, you just need to ask a question and PAM gives you a real answer. Nasdaq Private Market is harnessing the power of AI to transform the private markets. We’re putting access to information and opportunity into the hands of millions of investors.”
PAM sits inside the Nasdaq Private Market iOS app and works across the full investing lifecycle. It answers questions about specific companies and funds in plain language, flags opportunities that match an investor’s stated goals, walks through the mechanics of a deal before money moves, and hands off directly into execution on NPM’s patented settlement infrastructure. What used to take a call, a follow-up email, and a wait can now be completed in seconds. Because many private companies are less well known to the broader public, PAM takes you on an educational journey for companies you’re interested in.
Underpinning PAM is data on private companies that has historically stayed out of reach for individual investors – pricing history, transaction activity, and company fundamentals. PAM draws on this data live, so an investor asking about a company gets the same caliber of information a large institution would.
“Everyone wants to find the next SpaceX before it takes off. PAM helps you identify companies in the sectors you care about, understand them without a finance degree, compare them side by side, and be the first to know when there’s an opportunity to invest,” Callahan said.
Nasdaq Private Market is also lowering the minimum investment for certain single-asset funds on its platform to $5,000, down from levels that historically confined private company fund participation to larger checks. Paired with PAM, the change gives accredited investors a lower barrier-to-entry alongside the tools to act on it – building exposure to private companies in increments that fit their portfolio, rather than being priced out of the vehicle altogether.
The public beta version of PAM is live now and available in the iOS app store, with broader availability and functionality expanding in phases over the coming months.
