Only Dallas-based firm, and only one of two Texas-based firms, named to lists
DALLAS, Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Broadwing Capital, the Dallas-based private equity firm focused on lower middle-market manufacturing and services companies, today announced it has been named an Honorable Mention in Mergers & Acquisitions’ 2026 Best Places to Work in Private Equity awards. Broadwing is the only Dallas-headquartered firm and one of just two Texas firms recognized by the awards this year.

Now in its fourth year, the award recognizes private equity firms that stand out for their workplace culture, career development practices, and adaptability to evolving employee expectations. Eleven firms were named winners. Nine additional firms, including Broadwing, received Honorable Mentions.
The recognition comes on the heels of Broadwing’s final close of its inaugural fund at $465 million in total capital commitments, exceeding the fund’s $350 million target. Broadwing’s first institutional vehicle supports the firm’s strategy of partnering with founder, family, and operator owned businesses across the North American lower middle market.
“This milestone is meaningful validation of the culture we’ve built at Broadwing, and it arrives at a fitting moment alongside our Fund I close,” said Eliot Kerlin, Jr., Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Broadwing Capital. “We’re on a mission-driven journey to build the most trusted and transformative private equity firm in the lower middle market, and that mission starts internally, with a team that feels supported, invested in, and energized by the work we’re doing together.”
Broadwing’s approach to culture mirrors its approach to investing: people-first, disciplined, and built for the long term. The firm invests heavily in mentorship, continuous learning, and shared team experiences, reflecting a belief that a strong internal culture is the foundation for being a great partner to the founders and management teams it works with.
Broadwing has completed six platform investments through Fund I to date and expects to continue pursuing platform and add-on opportunities across its core sectors, including facility services, specialty distribution, and niche manufacturing.
